Dr. Judith Orloff, will relate her own experience with intuition and guide the
audience in experiential exercises to awaken intuition and rejuvenate the soul.
Nurturing the mind’s intuitive healing capacity provides the subtle energy
needed create breakthroughs in anxiety, panic, depression, and other emotional
blockages. Live music for centering and relaxation will be provided by special
guest drummer John Densmore, of The Doors, and oud player Hani Naser.

Judith Orloff, M.D. is an
assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at UCLA. She is an international
lecturer on the interrelationship of intuition, energy, and medicine and has
spoken at medical schools, hospitals, the American Psychiatric Association,
Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Women Summit, and alternative and traditional
health forums. Her work has been featured on National Public Radio and CNN, and
in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today and O, The Oprah magazine.
Dr. Orloff comes from a family of 25 physicians. Her struggles to acknowledge
and embrace her gift of heightened intuition, evident to her since childhood,
are chronicled in Second Sight. Her second book, Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to
Intuitive Healing, shows how breakthroughs in healing of body, emotions, and
sexuality are accomplished by listening to intuition. Her latest book, Positive

Densmore was in Maharishi's first meditation class two years BEFORE the

Hani Naser is a multi-talented, virtuoso percussionist and oud player.
The breadth of his talent has earned him the opportunity to perform and record
with many of the most influential artists of this era including Jackson Brown,
Bonnie Raitt, Ry Cooder, Los Lobos, The Violent Femmes, Hamza El Din, Warren
Zevon, David Lindley, and many other great musicians. Mr. Naser is at home in a
multitude of musical styles and has a well-deserved reputation as an expert
improviser and prolific songwriter. Mr. Naser also leads intensive workshops
entitled "The Healing Powers of Rhythm and Music" at Esalen and other
institutions, and has formed a band with Walfredo Reyes Jr., Armand Sabal-Lecco,
and Craig Eastman. His lifelong exploration of the spiritual dimensions of music
has led him to the realization that "There is a universal rhythm that I am
constantly trying to be in touch with. We are vibrations. Sometimes vibrations

and parking permits for the Center for Health Sciences parking lot can be
purchased from the kiosk on Westwood Plaza, which can be found by continuing
straight ahead through two traffic lights after you enter the campus on Westwood
Blvd. (Westwood Blvd. becomes Westwood Plaza on campus). The kiosk will be
located in the middle of the road and you will pass the entrance to the
auditorium on your right as you are headed towards the kiosk. The parking
attendant will show you the closest place to park, which may be Lot 9 to the
right of the kiosk or the Doris Stein Plaza parking lot which can be found by
going back to where you entered the campus from Westwood Blvd. and turning left
at the second light as you backtrack. It is also possible to park at the Medical
Plaza parking lot, which can be accessed by turning right at that same light.
The auditorium entrance is on the ground (or "C") level of Westwood Plaza, the
second set of glass doors north of the main entrance to the Semel Institute. The
Semel Institute Auditorium is in Room C8-183, at 720 Westwood Plaza. General
